B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture 

B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture is a four-year undergraduate programme that focuses on agricultural scientific research and activities, including Plant Breeding & Genetics, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Microbiology, Soil Science, Horticulture, dairying, Animal Husbandry etc. The Indian government recognizes it as a professional degree in agricultural science. This course is designed to prepare students to apply current agricultural techniques and biotechnology in a real-world setting. This course suits the students who want to learn about the agricultural conditions of any location and learn about solid and crops.
The curriculum structure is designed to work independently as an Agricultural Officer, Agricultural Scientist, Plant Breeder, Animal Breeder, Poultry management, and other positions in the government and commercial sectors in the future. Culture Basics, Weed Management, Water Resource Management, Biotechnology Basics, Sustainable Agriculture, Plant Science (Genetics, Botany and Biology), plant breeding, Seed Technology, Soil fertility, soil chemistry, fertilizer and farming chemistry are introduced to students. Entomology regarding information like pesticide management, beneficial insects, the storage and management of grain, agriculture economics, Engineering for agriculture machinery for agriculture, energy and tools, harvesting technology, science and engineering of the environment, renewable energy, Meteorology of agriculture, Pathology of plants, Crop diseases, Horticulture. Students get insights into various issues relating to agriculture.

Eligibilty :  Completed Intermediate (10+2) course At least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to scheduled cast / tribes) with Science stream (Medical or Non medical).
