About Department of History

The Department of History was established in July 2011 and is now actively engaged in anenormous range of social activities in addition to its learning and teaching programme. The aims of the Department are:

To make the students aware of religious, political, social and economic aspects of society and thus to transform them into responsible citizens.

To acquaint the students with the various aspects of Indian culture.

To enhance employment potential among the students.

Department transforming the youth into a productive users of society through value-based quality education focusing on their all-around development to enable them to contribute to the progress of society to their at the m potential.

Department prepares students to connect the students with their society or culture with the help of the storytelling method, and group decision discussion in addition to the traditional method of learning.

The department of history prepares the students to make models or the things like the same which are found at various historical sites where they visit such places.

MA (History)

MA Programme in History has been developed with a view to provide an opportunity to those learners who wish to go for higher studies in History. The programme would be of great use for the teachers working in schools, personnel working in various institutions associated with history and culture (Museums, Archives, Archaeological Survey etc.), working people in various organizations and all fresh graduates who are desirous of acquiring a Master’s Degree in History.

Eligibility:-Graduation with at least 50% marks.
